Reflecting on 2024: Paving the Way for Innovation and Impact in 2025

Ellen Sirull

With 2024 behind us, we at Aidin are brimming with gratitude and excitement. Last year was one of growth, innovation, and meaningful collaboration with healthcare leaders nationwide. So, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on some of the milestones that made this year extraordinary.

2024 Highlights and Milestones

CM Converge: An Unforgettable Gathering of Healthcare Leaders

In February 2024, we hosted our first-ever CM Converge, a retreat designed to bring together care management professionals to address shared challenges and explore new opportunities. This intimate, high-impact event saw dynamic discussions on pressing topics like post-acute care strategies, social determinants of health (SDoH), and the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Here’s what some of our attendees had to say:

“I’m thrilled to be returning to CM Converge as we work together to elevate care management and advance access, equity, and outcomes for all. This interactive and collaborative gathering combines elements of a conference providing exceptional learning experiences while giving a platform for sharing ideas and inspiring change.”

– Zachary Lenert, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, ACM, CEN, Vice President, Integrated Care Management, Sharp HealthCare

“The intentionally small group of case management, physician advisors, population health, and patient access experts at CM Converge was amazing. We shared and learned from each other. Knowing that our challenges and victories were not unique to our organizations was reassuring. There were very informative sessions on post-acute strategies, AI in healthcare, SDOH, and more.”

– Dr. Ada Offurum, Medical Director, UMMC Physician Advisory Group, University of Maryland Medical Center

“Job well done on a conference that invites and supports connection! Real solutions to real problems. Thanks for helping enable a network of relationships that allow for future collaboration.”

– Justin Rhodes, CEO, Baptist Medical Group and Vice President, Baptist Connected Care

“Brilliant consideration and planning to maximize engagement and collaboration, unlike typical conferences that tend to be didactic and lose my interest. Definitely kept my interest throughout. Kudos to the team!”

– Steve Blau, Senior Director, Care Management and Transitional Care at Luminis Health

“Thank you for such an amazing experience. I’ve been to conferences before, but this was by far my favorite. The breakfast sessions, open dialogue, and group working sessions made me enjoy my time more and retain more information. Also, thankful for the new people I met from across the U.S.”

Achieving Excellence with St. Luke’s Health Network

St. Luke’s University Health Network partnered with Aidin in 2022 to enhance patient care and reduce average length of stay (ALOS). By the end of 2024, St. Luke’s achieved remarkable results, including a 0.28-day reduction in ALOS, which translates to unlocking 10–14 additional beds daily across their hospitals. This improvement boosted patient throughput and created an annual cost-saving potential of $7.9 million.

Aidin’s bi-directional Epic integration streamlined discharge planning and compliance tasks while providing comprehensive data insights. This empowered St. Luke’s to optimize post-acute care transitions and hold providers accountable for quality outcomes. As Quynh Hicks, former Regional Director of Inpatient Care Management, noted, “Aidin helped us increase efficiency and reduce LOS while also making it easier to run reports to adjust processes and make improvements continuously.”

BayCare’s Transformational Journey

BayCare Health System leveraged Aidin’s platform to overhaul its post-acute care workflows, reducing ALOS by an average of one day. With over 67,000 discharges annually, this improvement has been transformative. Aidin’s automated referral and authorization tools eliminated administrative bottlenecks, allowing BayCare to focus on patient-centered care.

Aidin’s badge system for post-acute providers incentivized timeliness, quality, and transparency. Facilities meeting high standards earned greater referral volumes, fostering a competitive environment that benefits patients. Lindsey North, former East Region Director of Hospital Care Coordination, emphasized, “Aidin’s platform allowed us to identify and sort PAC providers by critical metrics, enabling faster, better-informed decisions.”

Unlocking ROI Across the Industry

Aidin’s impact extended beyond individual health systems in 2024. By automating compliance workflows, streamlining payer communications, and leveraging data for strategic decision-making, Aidin has helped hospitals nationwide achieve measurable ROI. For example:

  • One major health system reduced LOS by 1.3 days through automated payer authorizations, saving approximately $8 million annually or more.
  • Enhanced data analytics empowered care managers to build high-performing networks, leading to faster discharges and improved patient satisfaction.

Aidin’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation has proven to be a game-changer for care management teams striving to balance quality and efficiency.

Celebrating Client Successes

We’re honored to highlight the incredible work of clients like St. Luke’s Health Network and BayCare Health System. Their adoption of Aidin’s solutions demonstrates what’s possible when healthcare teams embrace technology to transform workflows and outcomes. From reducing ALOS to building stronger PAC partnerships, their achievements inspire us to continue pushing boundaries.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Reflecting on 2024, we’re filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible community of healthcare and care management leaders, care managers, case managers, social workers, and more who inspire us daily. Your dedication to innovation and excellence drives everything we do at Aidin.

We’re eager to continue growing with leading health systems and post-acute care organizations in 2025 and beyond.
